O – Open pairs tournament in active chess
14.7. 2008
Right of participation: pairs without age and performance limitations
System of tournament: Swiss system of 7 rounds, before the tournament each pair will assign players for 1st and 2nd chessboard
Criteria used for ranking:
1. total of points gained on individual chessboards (so called olympic
system)
2. Buchholz
3. middle Buchholz
4. Sonnenborn-Berger
5. lot
prizes are distributed according to Hort system (among 6 top pairs)
Rating of the tournament: 15 minutes for a game and a player
Tournament prize fund (financial prizes in CZK, payment in EUR or USD possible):

Discounts: young players up to 18 years of age, seniors over 65 years of age and women have 25% discount, these discounts do not refer to additional charge for late registration and are not added up
Late registrations: Those players whose application will be registered after
15.6. 2008 will pay additional charge of 2,- EUR.
Time schedule of the Tournament:
Monday 14.7. 08.00 - 09.30 - registration
Monday 14.7. 10.00 - 14.30 - 1.-7. round
Monday 14.7. 14.30 - 14.45 - presentation of results
Place: Registration, presentation of results and all games will take place at the CEZ Arena
